We look forward to your arrival on August 14, 2024 at your assigned arrival time!

As you prepare for move-in, please review the following information:

  • Check out our list of considerations of What to Bring to Campus and What Not to Bring. We hope this information will make your packing easier! If you want to check out pictures of your room type including room dimensions, please review our .

  • As a reminder, we ask that roommates plan together if you decide to bring a fridge (max. 4.6 cubic ft) or microwave (under 900 watts), so that there is only one of each appliance per room.

  • Prior to arriving on campus, please make sure all of your belongings and boxes are labeled with your Name, Hall, Room, and Cell Phone Number. This will help us safely move your belongings to your room and expedite the unloading process.

  • Because of the numerous construction projects on campus and limited parking, we ask that you bring no more than two vehicles (please, no trailers) with you as you move-in. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Arrival and Unloading Information:

  • Plan to enter campus from the main gate off of Warrensville Center Circle and 1 Ƶ Boulevard, University Heights, 44118. This will be the only gate that you will be able to enter campus from that day. 

  • Students moving into Dolan Hall will take a left once they have entered campus along Auxiliary Drive to the unloading and check in Zone by Rodman Hall.

  • Students moving into Campion and Hamlin Halls will take a right once they have entered campus along Main Drive and will be guided to the check in location at a tent located in the Dolan East Parking Lot.

  • Please have a form of identification to present to pick up your keys. Once you receive your keys you will be directed to your residence hall unloading zone.

  • Once you pull up to the unloading zone, JCU students and staff will help you unload your vehicle and move your belongings to your room.The driver of the vehicle should stay with the vehicle so that it can be moved out of the unloading zone as soon as everything has been unloaded.The vehicle driver will be directed back to the Dolan East and West parking lots to park.

  • Once the vehicle is unloaded, you can head to your room to begin unpacking and to meet your roommate and the other members of your community!

Celebrating Your Arrival on Campus:

We are so excited you are joining the Ƶ University community and will be a member of our residential community! In addition to unpacking and settling into your room, there are many events planned to celebrate your arrival including: 

  • Streak Week events: Get ready for a week full of exciting activities designed to help you connect with fellow students and explore everything JCU has to offer.
  • Tower Time: Join us for this cherished JCU tradition at St. Ignatius Plaza/Fountain, where the community comes together for coffee, conversation, and treats. You and your family are invited to a special Tower Time at 1:50 p.m.on move-in day!
  • Meal Plan Activation: Your meal plan starts as soon as you move in. After settling in, enjoy lunch with your family in the Schott Dining Hall. Meals for family members are available at $6 per person.
  • Office of Student Enrollment and Financial Services (SEFS): Open from 8:30 a.m.to 5:00 p.m., the SEFS office is ready to assist you with any financial questions you may have.
  • Special Sending Ceremony: As you begin your journey at Ƶ, we will be holding a special “Sending Ceremony” for you and your family. This ceremony will provide an opportunity for you to join with other first year students, their families, and members of the JCU community to say good-bye and thank you to your families as you begin your journey as a member of the Ƶ community. Don’t miss this special opportunity at 2:00pm at St. Ignatius Plaza.
